Hidden Gospels & Visions

Some of the earliest Christian writings never made it into the Bible. They were set aside, argued over, and in some cases buried in the Egyptian sand for some fifteen centuries. This shelf gathers them: the sayings of Jesus preserved by Thomas, the gospel of Mary Magdalene, the long dialogues of Pistis Sophia, the great Gnostic anthology, and the Book of Revelation read in the light of the apocryphal tradition. Each comes in large print, with introductions and commentary written for readers rather than specialists.
